The Tuffy Series II Full-Speaker Jeep TJ center console is built for the 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ equipped with the factory console and factory subwoofer. This full replacement console is formed from heavy-duty welded cold-rolled steel, so it secures your gear and shields the factory subwoofer in one high-security build. The patented Pry-Guard II anti-twist pushbutton locking system, the original and most secure in Tuffy's line-up, makes it a true Jeep Wrangler locking center console. Inside, a cavernous compartment holds about 2 1/2 times more than the OEM console for tools, electronics, phones, and other valuables. It accommodates the factory subwoofer or an aftermarket 8-inch speaker with a 6 1/2 inch grille cut-out. Two oversized rear drink holders with anti-rattle rubber drink fingers replace the separate stereo compartment. A marine-grade vinyl padded armrest in black, a front console for the levers and airbag switch, and front and rear drink holders all come included. The console mounts to factory holes, though drilling may be required, and the speaker is not included. On some years the airbag disable switch is re-installed in the front console. If a suspension or body lift changed the shift-lever height, the shift lever must be modified. Round out your TJ with a matching Jeep TJ glove box, TJ cargo security drawer, or Jeep TJ hood lock.
