The PRP 5.2 Harness Latch & Link is engineered to deliver exceptional comfort, security, and performance. Featuring a sewn-together 5-point design with 2" shoulder and lap belts, plus a removable 5th point anti-submarine strap, this harness provides increased occupant retention and security for recreational driving, competition, and everything in between.
At the center of the harness is PRP's new upgraded Latch & Link buckle system, designed for quick, secure engagement while maintaining reliable performance in dirt, dust, mud, and wet conditions. The integrated shoulder belt attachment pulls the shoulder belts closer to the driver's centerline, improving restraint geometry and helping keep the harness properly positioned during aggressive driving.
The removable 5th point anti-submarine strap adds an additional level of safety by helping prevent the lap belt from riding up during hard impacts. It also helps keep the occupant securely positioned in the seat during aggressive driving, improving overall harness performance. The shoulder and lap belts are permanently sewn together for consistent fitment and strength, while the 5th point can be removed when your application does not require it.
New V-Shape Technology further enhances occupant retention by connecting the shoulder belts in a V configuration. This design helps keep the belts properly positioned during hard impacts or rollovers, reducing the chance of the shoulder belts slipping off.
Comfort has also been improved with upgraded EZ Adjusters that provide smoother, easier shoulder belt adjustments, allowing you to quickly dial in the perfect fit. Sewn-in shoulder pads add comfort during long rides, while built-in hook-and-loop keepers secure excess shoulder belt webbing to prevent loose straps from flapping around during your ride. A sternum strap provides additional stability by helping keep the shoulder belts properly aligned throughout your drive.
The harness features lightweight skeletonized steel hardware for an excellent balance of strength and weight savings, along with 3-bar adjusters on the shoulder belts that allow precise fitment and help prevent belt slippage over time.
Every 5.2 Harness Latch & Link comes standard with bolt-in mounting tabs for a secure installation. The shoulder belts can also be converted to clip-in mounting with optional clip-in tabs (sold separately). The included 3-bar slides allow the shoulder and crotch belts to be wrapped around a harness bar for additional installation flexibility.
